Golf has a funny way of rewarding the shots you didn’t deserve… and one good, undeserved shot might be all it takes to hook you for life chasing green.
DURTY LUCK started with a simple comment after nearly losing my ball in the water, only to be saved by the rough. I laughed and said, “Just a little DURTY LUCK in the rough.” The caddie stopped, looked at me, and said, “I’ve never heard that before.”
Neither had I.
From that moment, the idea wouldn’t leave me. My mind started racing with what DURTY LUCK could become—not just a phrase, but a way to accessorize the game we love—first with a just hat that I gave friends. They looked so good and the logo felt so strong, I thought of other ways to elevate and accessorize golf outfits in my favorite color green. Honestly, I thought about what I wanted to wear, what I wanted for my bag, and went for it full swing.
The story doesn’t end with the creation of products to sell and to wear. That wouldn’t be me and that’s not our team. I’ve connected this project to a passion of mine, which is helping vulnerable children, a large focus of my medical career over 20 years. I’m committed to proceeds benefitting children in need of either medical or social service, so that every kid gets a shot.
Durty Luck is a brand for golfers who know the best rounds aren’t always the prettiest, most golf outfits need help, laughter is required (at oneself and others), confidence is the best club, and every unforgettable story starts with a little bit of DURTY LUCK.
